Stump Grinding
Removing a stump can require a lot of time and manual labor without specialized equipment. Grinding the stump is an affordable alternative when compared to removing it completely. When it is ground, the visible portion is reduced to wood chips and any remaining pieces are left 3 to 4 inches below the grade of the yard. This allows you to put lawn, mulch beds or other landscaping features where the stump used to exist.

Our Stump Grinding Process
Understand and quote the work
One of our professionals will speak with you about the job. They may inspect the site, including the stumps and surrounding area. Safety precautions and access difficulties are identified in advance. Our representative will provide a quote. If you wish to proceed, they will schedule the work.
Grind the stump
Paul’s Stump Cutting comes to the site and grinds the stumps. We set up barriers to protect your property and take other safety precautions during the job. Stumps are ground 3 – 4 inches below the grade. For larger jobs, multiple machines and operators are deployed to complete the work in a timely manner.
Clean the site
Once complete, we clean up and ensure no chips are scattered in the adjacent yard and walkways. All wood chips are left in a neat pile where the stump used to be. The remaining chips can be used as mulch or removed separately. We do not remove and dispose of wood chips.
